Rohan Shirwaiker is an IISE Fellow, a professor in the ISE department at North Carolina State University and co-director and chief scientific officer at the Bezos Center for Sustainable Protein, where he works on the design and manufacture of biological products for medical and sustainable food applications. He discusses his work and career with fellow Penn State graduate Cassandra Sotos, an industrial engineer, entrepreneur and professional musician.
